Session Work

Sam's Primary motive as a guitarist and instrumentalist is achieving the highest level of versatility as he possibly can. During his 14 years of playing music, he has experimented and listened to an array of artists and genre, figuring out what exactly makes the sound work. In his early years, like many aspiring guitarists, he learned through the juggernauts of late 70's/early 80's rock groups such as Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, Boston and Yes. As his experience playing grew, his musical interests changed from The Contortionist, Disturbed and Toska, to Brad Paisley, Keith Urban and Albert lee , and to Charles Mingus, Clifford Brown and Johnathan Kreisberg.

Since Leaving university, Sam got stuck in playing around London and the UK. He was a part of the original lineup for the experimental rock band Opal Skies where he helped write and record parts for their early releases, he performed with the country rock artists Gareth Nugent and Ellinor Springstrike at the BCMA music festival in Nottingham, he's played on numerous amateur musicals and cabarets around london and is currently performing with Collette Cooper in the immersive play "Tomorrow May Be My Last" the Janis Joplin story.

Sam has played, recorded and written music with people of numerous different background and genres, with instruments such as bass, drums and recently banjo as well as guitar.
